Maritime Guerrilla Tactics in Support of Archipelagic Defense

Abstract

An adaptation of Expeditionary Advanced Base Operations in support of the Commandant's planning guidance. The Marine Corps can us its Reconnaissance forces as a template to create a new Maritime Guerrilla force. The Maritime Guerrilla force will support diplomatic and economic efforts to deter military aggression in the First Island Chain while building the capacity and capability of host nation partnered security forces. Maritime Guerrilla forces will operate partnered, in small teams, and highly distributed.
