Stars and Stripes: Inherent Conflicts Lead to Allegations of Military Censorship

Abstract

Allegations so censorship and news management by military commanders of the Stars and Stripes newspapers led to a requirement in the Defense Authorization Act for fiscal years 1988 and 1989 that GAO investigate the validity of these allegations.
