Student Wargame Iran - Iraq War: Battle of Dezful

Abstract

This essay describes how the student-designed wargame Iran Iraq War (Battle of Dezful) can serve as an educational tool for marine and joint service officers. Iterative playtesting served as the primary method of acquiring data evaluating the educational effectiveness of the game. Data collection methods include: a pre post-test, student observation checklist, post-play survey, and after-action group discussion.
