Abstract

In your letter of June 17, 1986, you asked us to examine several matters associated with the space shuttle program's Vandenberg launch site (VLS), which is being prepared at Vandenberg Air Force Base, California, for launching shuttles into polar orbits. On September 18, we briefed your staff on the results of our work.
