CONTRACT MANAGEMENT: Benefits of Simplified Acquisition Test Procedures Not Clearly Demonstrated

Abstract

In 1994, Congress authorized the use of simplified acquisition procedures for acquisitions not exceeding $100,000.2 Under those procedures, among other things, agency officials may select contractors using expedited evaluation and selection procedures and are permitted to keep documentation to a minimum.
