The Replacement of Tung Oil in Navy Aeronautical Finishing Materials - Zinc Chromate Primer

Abstract

This report describes the progress that has been made to date on the elimination of chinawood oil from Navy Aeronautical Specifications. Since the single item in which chinawood oil is most extensively used is zinc chromate primer, attention so far has been centered toward producing this primer with tung oil-free resins.
