Chloroamide Paste Systems for Decontamination of Vesicants

Abstract

This is a progress report on the study of the decontamination of vesicants. Several non-aqueous paste systems were examined. Of these, the best formulation contains Perclene, potassium oleate and S-461. In addition, investigation of aqueous decontamination systems is reported. The most promising development in this direction is an emulsion paste containing Perclene, and emulsifying agent, a chloroamide and a large proportion of water.
