Assessment of Electronic Collection and Visual Display of Ecologically Valid Clinical Data in Patients with Heart Failure

Abstract

Background: Accurate patient information is essential for patient management.Unfortunately, between-visit clinical information collection methods are incomplete andinaccurate leaving clinical information gaps. Patient recollected symptoms may not besufficient accurate for disease management. This is a report of patient use of electronicdevices to collect physiologic and subjective state data at night, their ratings of deviceusability, and whether clinicians rated the visual display of data as usable.
