Dummy Log Equipment Type DL-40

Abstract

The object of this test was to determine conformance of the sample equipment with contract, reference (b), as modified by reference (c), and with specifications, references (d) and (e), and its suitability for Naval use. The sample Dummy Log (Speed Transmitter and Distance Transmitter) was set up at this Laboratory in conjunction with suitable testing equipment and its performance was carefully observed for compliance with the contract and its modifications and the specifications. An inspection of the sample to determine compliance in the matter of materials, design, and workmanship, concluded the test.
