Educating Parturients on Labor Analgesia

Abstract

Background or Problem: Through a needs assessment, stakeholders at Naval Medical Center San Diego (NMCSD) identified the absence of a standardized, evidence-based approach to providing education to parturients regarding epidural analgesia. Clinical Question: Among parturients at NMCSD, did adjunct video education during the informed consent process increase perception of knowledge about epidural analgesia and satisfaction?
