Initial Analysis and Calibration of the Fully Polarimetric Mode of the Templar Radar
Abstract
A simplified calibration procedure is presented. This procedure enables transformation between a measured linear polarization basis, comprising horizontal and vertical transmit and receive channels, and the Pauli basis, comprising even-bounce, odd bounce, and cross-pol channels. Relative phase and magnitude adjustments are estimated and applied. A relative adjustment to the cross channel that may be necessary to transform between more general polarization bases is not considered.
