Discovery and Characterization of Functional Breast Cancer Microproteins

Abstract

There were two significant findings during the research period. First, in collaboration with Dr. Adolfo Ferrando we found that TINCR is a tumor suppressor in squamous cell carcinoma. Second, we completed our CRISPR/Cas9 screen and identified nearly 1000 smORFs that regulate breast cancer growth. An amazing finding that we will validate and further characterize.
