The Impact of Injustice Appraisals on Pyschosocial Outcomes Following Spinal Cord Injury: A Longitudinal Study

Abstract

The activities accomplished in Year 1 include obtaining IRB and HRPO approvals for UMN and Jefferson sites and submitting the initial submission to CIRB for the two VA sites. We also established team-meeting teleconferences, developed the online survey and database entry platform, and pilot tested the study measures with members of the SCI community. Based on feedback received about the study measures, changes were made and subsequently submitted for IRB approval. We also trained UMN and Jefferson study staff in qualitative and quantitative data collection, including use of the online data entry platform. Study start-up has been delayed by the reliance process between UMN and Jefferson (site approval granted on 2/8/2022), HRPO approval of Jefferson site granted on 6/2/2022, and the finalization of study measures and screening procedures. Study start-up has also been delayed due to CIRB review for the two VA sites.
