Development of XBF-1 L-Band Radar Equipment

Abstract

The XBF-1 is an experimental high power L Band radar equipment designed to serve as an electrical prototype for the SR-1. The equipment covered by this report consist of a paraboloid antenna and a transceiver that operated in conjunction with the new standard SR console. Consideration of the primary design parameters as well as the development and operation of the major components is discussed in detail in the text.
