Effect of Temperature on the Resonant Frequency of Modified Model 1541 (TFX-10GA) Cavities

Abstract

An investigation was made to determine the frequency temperature characteristics of the Model 1541 (TFX-10GA) reference cavity after the polyiron suppressor disc was removed. The resonant frequency of the cavities was found to vary not more the 1 Mc with a change in ambient temperature from 0 degrees to 60 degrees. However, the mechanical construction of the cavity was found to be unsatisfactory
