Report of Tests of Isolantite Adjustable Sleeve Antenna

Abstract

The Isolantite adjustable sleeve antenna is a concentric sleeve type antenna arranged to allow adjustment of the spike and sleeve elements from a remote position by means of a motor-gear drive. It is intended for operation in the 220 to 400 megacycle range of frequencies. Electrical tests indicate the antenna is not satisfactory over the intended frequency range. It was not intended that the mechanical features would be final for the submitted model.
