Submarine Intercept Antenna for Frequency Range 1000-3500 Mcs

Abstract

A satisfactory electrical design has been developed for a submarine intercept antenna covering the range 900 to 3600 Mc by scaling down the Navy Type CAGW 66131 antenna. Horizontal radiation patterns on both polarizations and standing wave ratio curves are shown, and an intercept run against several radar sets is described. Two methods of pressurizing the end of the transmission line have been developed into a satisfactory working model.
