Evaluation of a Work-Family and Sleep Leadership Intervention in the Oregon National Guard: A Behavioral Health Leadership Approach

Abstract

The Oregon Military Employee Sleep and Health Study (MESH) was an RCT and ran from 2016-2021, focusing on full time members of the Oregon National Guard, Army and Air. The intervention combined a training on supportive supervision for leaders as well as individual feedback on sleep. The intervention demonstrated positive effects on sleep health, well-being,and work outcomes, as well as improvements in couple functioning.
