X-62 VISTA Simulation and Autonomy Flight Testing

Abstract

The X-62 VISTA has undergone a major transformation from its previous configuration as the NF-16D VISTA. The flight testing effort and some results are presented in this paper for the VSS MFA flight testing and the SACS autonomy flight testing. VISTA has been configured to new curriculum requirements and USAF autonomy testing needs while maintaining its flexibility to support a wide range of risk reduction test programs. The methodologies used for this effort and representative results are presented.
