Measurement of Vibration Amplitudes and Frequencies on the USS Juneau CL-119
Abstract
Vibration amplitude and frequencies were measured on the USS JUNEAU CL-119 during standardization trials. Vibration amplitudes observed on the superstructure did not exceed 0.0025 inch during straight runs in deep water. Frequencies varied between 4 and 23 cps. Amplitudes of vibration of electronic equipment exceeded 0.031 inch during high speed turns.
