Anti-Corrosive Coatings for Magnesium II - Tide Level Resistance

Abstract

This study was undertaken with a view toward providing an anti-corrosive organic finishing system affording a high degree of protection for magnesium and its alloys as used in Naval aircraft. The investigation includes the evaluation of a few existing organic coatings as compared with a number of experimental compositions prepared in the laboratory. An attempt has been made to study likely materials grouped according to their resin composition.
