Design Evaluation of AN/CRC -7 Equipment

Abstract

This report covers the results of the engineering performance analysis of two model AN/CRC-7 sea-rescue emergency radio transmitter-receivers, manufactured by the Sentinel Radio Company. The equipments were evaluated for comparison with similar previously submitted equipments, Ref . (b) and (c), for compliance with good engineering practice, and for suitability for use in the Naval service. The subject equipments are considered satisfactory with regard to the electrical performance tests, but are not considered acceptable in their present form because of poor hermetic seals at certain connector pins and the microphone.
