Development of the Air Force Officer Qualifying Test (AFOQT) Form T Version 2

Abstract

This technical report describes the development of the Air Force Officer Qualifying Test (AFOQT) Form T Version 2 (Form Tv2). The purpose of this project was to develop and field a replacement of AFOQT Form T Version 1 (Form Tv1). The focus was on replacing problematic items based on previous analyses, reducing mean score differences for underrepresented subgroups, and implementing the assessment for web-based administration. This report is divided into the following sections: (1) Executive Summary, (2) Introduction, (3) Method, Assumptions, and Procedures, (4) Results and Discussion, (5) Conclusion, and (6) References. Each section provides detailed results and descriptions of processes used to develop and field the AFOQT Form Tv2. Across the objectives, the results indicated that, compared to Form Tv1, Form Tv2 yielded similar levels of score precision and increased potential for diversity.
