Counter Narcotics Enforcement Go-Kit

Abstract

In the Spring of 2020, US SOUTHERN COMMAND(SOUTHCOM) began enhanced counter narcotics operations in the Western Hemisphere to disrupt the flow of drugs in support of the Presidential national security objectives. As part of SOUTHCOMs enhanced operations, a greater number of CG cutters were deployed on counter narcotics patrols. During this time, the RDC Science and Technology Innovation Center(STIC) was testing potential technologies to assist CG cutters in their counter narcotics mission. The RDC took this opportunity to help Operational Commanders by packaging these promising technologies into easy-to-use Go-Kits(Figure 1) and shipping them to deploying cutters in a just-in-time manner.
