Shock and Vibration Bulletin

Abstract

A Centralized Navy Shock and Vibration Scientific Unit was established last December. Since then, four technical symposia have been conducted in the Washington area. About fifteen Naval activities, as well as other Government agencies, participated in the discussions and inspected the facilities of the various laboratories. All groups are now aware of the possibilities and the existing tools for attacking problems in shock and vibration. The third meeting of the Shock and Vibration Symposium was held at the Naval Ordnance Laboratory, Naval Gun Factory, on 19 March, 1947.
