K-Band HARP

Abstract

The properties of Harp materials fabricated from graphite and iron oxide have been studied in the wavelength region 1.1 cm to 1.6 cm. A method of analysis and it application to numerous samples are described in detail. A satisfactory formulation of K-band Harp has been found, and its absorption characteristics studied including its temperature dependence. It is shown that the iron oxide compositions have a small magnetic permeability (1.1) at X-band which disappears at K-band.
