Limited Initiatives, Battle Reconstruction, Afghanistan (LIBRA) Transcript: Volume 1

Abstract

The purpose of the project is to identify lessons for counterinsurgency doctrine and to develop a classroom-quality reconstruction (in the form of a multimedia DVD) of events in Afghanistan to be used in Joint and Service Professional Military Education and training institutions. As an education and training resource, this reconstruction will support historical analysis, leadership development, and critical thinking skills. The project focuses on three initiatives: 1. The Joint, Interagency, Intergovernmental and Multinational community to include interagency task forces and Provincial Reconstruction Teams, 2. Conventional/special operations forces coordination and collaboration, and 3. The stand-up of the Special Operations Joint Task Force and development of the Village Stability Operations/Afghan Local Police programs. The purpose of this document is to organize and archive transcripts of participants from organizations who were interviewed primarily during Task 1 of the project, Initial Collection.
