Uncovering New Therapeutics and Neuroprotective Mechanisms for TBI

Abstract

During the reporting period, we demonstrate the replicability of identified hits that mediate the in vivo effects of TBI in our novel model. Moreover, we have demonstrated that these effects are specific to TBI and not evident in sham controls. Taken together, these studies have leveraged the power of in vivo genetic screening in combination with transcriptomics to identify novel molecular pathways that mediate the effects of brain injury on lifespan, health and sleep.
