A New Humanized Mouse Model for the Study of Peripheral Neuropathies

Abstract

Peripheral neuropathy is an incredibly common and debilitating disorder. For most forms of peripheralneuropathy, developing an understanding of pathogenesis, identifying targets for treatment, and testing of newtherapeutic approaches have been severely hampered by a lack of adequate models to address thesequestions. The purpose of this project is to create a new humanized mouse for the study of peripheralneuropathies.
