Cairo-MS: Conflicting Account Information Resources in Omnivorous Media Streams

Abstract

In this project, Linguistic Data Consortium aimed to provide a comprehensive response to the need for AIDA development and evaluation data in four languages, covering text, image and video media and a variety of genres. Lasting contributions to the research community from this effort include multilingual multimedia corpora focused on specific topics of interest; manual annotation of entities, relations, and events using large type ontologies; resources for evaluating topic-level hypotheses from data; manual annotation of claim frames, an entirely novel annotation task; and resources to support similarity-based comparison of system and human annotations of semantically complex content.
