Kingfisher "E" Command Control System

Abstract

A version of the Hornet command control system for the mid-course guidance of Kingfisher "E" and various modifications of the system which have been considered, are discussed in this report. This system is an "on-off" type utilizing a fire control radar (Radar Mk 25) as the transmitting link. Control information is sent to the missile by selection of one of six pulse repetition rates for the radar. The missile-born equipment has been designated as "Radar Set AN/DPW-2(XN-1)." The individual circuits used in the system are presented in schematic form with a description of their operation.
