ICECON Update

Abstract

The briefing, based on project developments completed by the Arctic Domain Awareness Center (ADAC) at the University of Alaska, presented the results of ice condition (ICECON) data analysis efforts, project challenges, transition developments, and a revised approach to data gathering. The ADAC analysis showed that ICECON accuracy diminishes significantly without the parameter ice type and that using ice convergence as an alternative input provides some improvement but still results in reduced accuracy.
