Countering Violent Extremism in the Sahel: A Whole of Government Approach

Abstract

An assessment of utilizing a combination of US State Department, UN efforts, and Western business alliances to provide economic stability to the Sahel. By decreasing kinetic and military focus and targeting root causes of instability like biases towards particular ethnic groups and government corruption, the region may see a more promising future.
