BlackParrot, an Open Source RISC-V Multicore, and its Ecosystem

Abstract

This report introduces BlackParrot, which aims to be the default open-source Linux-capable, cache-coherent, 64-bitRISC-V multicore used by the world. It addresses not only the technical details of BlackParrot, but also the hardware and software ecosystem that created for using it. BlackParrot is implemented using SystemVerilog and is available at https://github.com/black-parrot.
