Electrochemical Studies of Inhibitive Pigments
Abstract
This report covers the results obtained from electrochemical studies of selected pigments and the mechanisms by which they may protect steel in the presence of electrolytes. The work involved potential and polarization tests with steel in solutions containing pigments in dissolved and suspend states and as pastes. Known soluble inhibitors were included for comparison.
