A Comprehensive Framework for Soft Real-Time Multicore Applications Motivated by Safety-Critical DoD Systems

Abstract

Most safety-critical DoD applications have significant soft real-time (SRT) components, i.e., components for which deadline misses are sometimes acceptable. Furthermore, the development of methods for supporting SRT workloads has been identified as a pressing need for the safe use of multicore platforms in safety-critical DoD application domains. This project is directed at addressing this need.
