Implementation of Standardized Telehealth Follow-Up to Improve Adherence to Positive Airway Pressure Therapy in Patients with Obstructive Sleep Apnea

Abstract

After the global COVID-19 pandemic limited access to in-person activities, the Military Health System (MHS) called for increased utilization of telehealth methods to improve the access and quality of care for remote care of chronic diseases in the primary care setting.Purpose: To implement a standardized evidence-based telehealth follow-up protocol for patients with OSA who have been prescribed PAP therapy that meets or exceeds the current standard of care.
