Organophosphorus Compounds the Preparation of Alkyldichlorophosphines

Abstract

The synthesis of alkyldichlorophosphines by the reaction of dialkyl-cadmium compounds with phosphorus trichloride is described. A homologeous series of n-alkyldichlorophosphines from ethyl-to n-octyldi-chlorophosphine has been prepared, and some physical properties of each compound have been determined.
