An Assessment of U.S.-Allied Nations' Industrial Bases in Quantum Technology: Annex

Abstract

Quantum technology is an emerging technology area that the U.S. government has identified as important for future U.S. economic prosperity and national security. This volume is an annex to a report that assesses the quantum industrial bases of several U.S.-allied nations that are major players in the development of this technology.1 The main report begins with a global look at the quantum technology ecosystem and then does four deeper dives into the quantum industrial bases of Australia, the United Kingdom, Germany, and Japan. It concludes with recommendations for how the United States can promote strong ties with its allies in quantum technology research and development.
