Design of Refractory High Entropy Superalloys: From Critical Phase Information to Theory Development

Abstract

In this work, 14 alloys in two refractory high entropy alloy systems were investigated. The equilibrium microstructure, phase constituents, and compositions of phases of each alloy after prolonged annealing at three different temperatures were unraveled. The partial pseudo-ternary phase diagram of the two systems at three temperatures was depicted according to the compositions of phases. Based on the phase diagrams, the B2 phase regions were also evaluated.
