Program WP19-1017-An Experimental and Finite Element Modeling Approach to Determining Deterioration of Aircraft Coating Systems Final Report

Abstract

This report summarizes the results and insights gained from SERDP project WP19-1017. The focus of this work was on understanding changes that underwent laboratory aging and outdoor exposures meant to simulate aircraft in-service environments in order to model and predict coating that provided insight into the stresses needed to drive coating cracking, as well as new numerical models for analyzing EIS data.
