Airborne Measurements of the Thermal Radiation from Submarine Wakes in the Gulf Stream

Abstract

In the course of carrying out a basic investigation of the thermal radiation properties of submarine wakes, a series of measurements was conducted at night during the month of May 1950 over deep water approximately 150 miles east of Atlantic City New Jersey.
