Improving ESTCP Demonstration Outcomes and Tech Transfer via Integration of Standardized Third-Party Technology Verification using ISO 14034

Abstract

This project examines how to integrate the ISO 14034 - Environmental Technology Verification (ETV) standard into existing ESTCP processes and projects. It aims to provide an example of how the ISO standard implementation can work, how it can integrate with existing ESTCP processes, and its potential benefits in supporting technology transition. The project will apply the ISO 14034/17020 framework for ETV, establish its relevance to demonstration projects within ESTCP via a gap analysis and case study implementation for two current projects, and disseminate the results to end users, purchasers, regulators and funders (including 3rd party finance mechanisms) within the DoD.
