Better Buildings, Smaller Bootprint: Smart Building Program for the DoD

Abstract

The utility and operational data generated by the Department of Defense are vast and largely underused. Without a unified system to automatically collect, normalize, and present these data in a meaningful way, DoD energy and facility managers are left with the task of doing this manually. The Switch Platform delivers a holistic and highly configurable building operations solution with extensive data collection capabilities, enterprise-grade data management tools, a unified user interface that simplifies the management of disparate systems, and advanced machine-learning analytics both at the edge and in the cloud in order to address these issues.
