Abstract

The final report for the project "Simulation, Signal Extraction, and Augmented Visualization of Buried Object Scanning Sonar Data" gives a detailed rundown of the different data processing advancements achieved during the course of the project . Highlights include the development of a very efficient 3D synthetic aperture sonar beamformer, new structural acoustic filtering techniques, and the development of a software library for live and postprocessing data captured by buried object scanning sonar (BOSS) systems.
