Abstract

This is a discussion of a presentation by Vlad Dumitrache. It comments on the scale of increases in European defense spending and on the difficulty of accurately measuring total national defense expenditures across countries in a consistent fashion. It also provides additional context for the factors that drive and should drive European defense spending.
