2022 Crystal Engineering Gordon Research Conference

Abstract

The field of crystal engineering is inherently broad and interdisciplinary. The 2022 GRC-CE will bring together organic, inorganic, physical, computational chemists, as well as pharmaceutical scientists, materials scientists, data scientists, and others in a uniquely and highly interactive environment to discuss latest results at the cutting edge of the field. The 2022 GRC-CE program includes leading researchers with a variety of perspectives(academia, national laboratories and industry) to encourage new multidisciplinary ways of thinking across fields and collaboration. As with past GRC-CEs, ensuring diversity will be a top priority, both in terms of science and in particular with respect to the inclusion of women and other underrepresented groups. The program for the 2022GRC-CE GRC includes sessions on Order, Disorder and Defects, Crystal Assembly, Polymorphs and Mixtures,Crystals Under Pressure, Crystal Reactivity, Pharmaceuticals and Cocrystals, Big Data and Informatics, Porosity and Open Framework Materials, and Engineering Across Different Length Scales. The program topics are therefore highly relevant to the ARO, specifically to the Chemical Sciences program.
