Towards Pulsed Laser Deposition of 2D Materials and Cryogenic Photoluminescence Spectroscopy of 2D Transition Metal Dichalcogenides

Abstract

This technical report summarizes the work executed during FY21-FY23 of the Office of Naval Research (ONR)-funded Electrically-Tunable On-Demand Energy Bandstructures in Pulse Laser Deposited 2D Quantum Material Heterostructure-Based Devices (Qu-PLD) project and during FY21FY22 of the Naval Information Warfare Center (NIWC) Pacific Naval Innovative Science and Engineering (NISE)-funded Quantum Engineered Nanodevices Exploiting Twistronics for Electromagnetic Maneuver Warfare (EMW) and Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (C4ISR) project. Most of the work was performed by NIWC Pacific scientists and engineers in the Quantum Engineered Nano Devices Laboratory (QENDL) at NIWC Pacific in San Diego, CA.
