Influence of Repetition Rate on Cytokine Secretion in Peripheral Blood Mononuclear Cells Exposed to Pulsed Infrared Laser Radiation In Vitro

Abstract

Immunological effects of infrared laser energy at various exposure parameters have been characterized in previous in vitro studies. The purpose of the present investigation was to assess the influence of pulse repetition rate (PRR) on inflammatory mediator concentrations from peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs) subjected to pulsed neodymium-doped yttrium aluminum garnet (Nd:YAG) laser energy.
