Emerging Two Dimensional Van Der Waals Materials for Optical Information Transfer and Processing

Abstract

Emerging Two Dimensional Van Der Waals Materials for Optical Information Transfer and Processing presents a systematic study directed toward understanding of the fundamental aspects for novel two-dimensional materials for optical information transfer and processing. These materials include graphene, transition-metal dichalcogenides (TMDC), Xenes (silicene, germanene, stanene), hexagonal ?-T3 layer, phosphorene and transition-metal trichalcogenides' freestanding, supported and encapsulated by dielectrics monolayers, bilayers and van der Walls heterostructures (vdW) formed by monolayers of these materials separated by hexagonal boron nitride (hBN) monolayers.
